Emma and Rick Ferguson are the Reiki lineage "upline" for most of the Reiki Masters and teachers in the region.  They are also responsible for preserving and teaching the Johrei tradition of energy healing brought to us by Meishu-Sama. Emma is also a registered nurse and takes great pride in her ability to bridge the various spiritual and medical disciplines. Their hypnotherapy practice is in a wonderful little store called Tranquil Thymes in Old Town Spring, which is a place of spiritual learning. Their practice includes releasing of mental/emotional patterns, stress reduction, weight loss, stop smoking (or other addictive behaviors), as well as forensic hypnotherapy. Does it work?  Pat Rickard safely dropped 40 pounds with hypnotherapy alone in a relatively short amount of time... no special diets, just an adjustment of eating behaviors to favor healthy foods and to not eat past actually being satisfied.  One really wonderful addition they do is give you a cassette tape of your session, the part where you relax and go deep, and the part that reinforces the positive programming... very handy.

Dr. Ghazi's practice up in Conroe, TX is well worth the drive.  This guy does a little of everything, from a regular ol' chiropractic adjustment to restore nerve supply, to adjustments of the viscera, energy work, and attitude adjustments. Unlike a lot of chiropractors I've run into, he isn't trying to hook you into coming in for an appointment every friggin' week, and he isn't trying to sell you a butt-load of expensive supplements. Yes, he offers supplements by both Metagenics and Shaklee, but you have to talk to his secretary/wife Sandra to get any of that stuff.  All the staff and regulars at Tranquil Thymes swear by this guy, and so do I. For my first appointment he worked on me for over an hour, told me what to eat, and told me my issues... yes, I already knew my causation(s) but I also knew I needed a consultant to get things fixed. He did an adjustment on my gall bladder and intestines and my tummy has been getting steadily better ever since.

The people who participate in these free-form, improvisational drumming circles often experience a deep, meditative trance-like state.
